i do not know if it is a fuse(cannot find the fuse box), or if i should be looking for wires.

I have ran into this before, and it wasn't what one might think. If you will look at the switches on each door that turns on the lights when the door is opened, you will find they probably need cleaned. At the parts store you can get some spray stuff called Electronic Cleaner, and this should fix the problem. The contacts where the door makes a ground to turn the lights off is getting corroded up, and as you drive the door might jar around causing the contacts to not make good ground, thus making the lights flicker. Once you get them clean, don't put any lube on them as this will collect dirt and dust and cause more problems. I hope this resolves your problem. Good Luck!!

If it's flickering then the fuse is OK. Fuses either work or they don't.
Remove the light and check the contacts on the back. Something somewhere is loose.

is all the dash lights or just one, if thats the case i would check to see if the bulb is loose.

I'd guess that the switch in the door jamb is bad, I've seen that happen before.
