I have removed all devices and securing studs/nuts/brackets from the manifold, but am having trouble getting manifold off. Manifold seems to be attached to the housing holding fuel metering body. What am I doing wrong

Before you try the other things I mention double check all the studs some times a stud will be double nutted one will hold a bracket that you will take off first ,then the other will hold the intake in place.always check in the back first some times you will think that you have taken every thing off and there was that one stud that was hiding and you missed it( thats happend to me a couple of times and ive been fixing cars for 12 yrs). After doing that take a rubber mallet and tap on the manifold some times the gasket between the intake and head will have a permatex adhesive depending on if some one has messed with it before and it will hold it togeather as if there was a bolt or stud still holding it in place. On the chevy the intake I would assume would be on the top, take a pry bar put it between the intake and the top of the engine pry upwards with minamul force after doing that if there is no succes double ck again to see if there is any thing else that may be holding it in place The other possibility is that because the intake is aluminum corossion may have set up around the existing studs and is causing it not to free up best thing to do for that is get some pb blaster at a parts store and spray around the studs.let it sit for a couple of mins then tap it with the mallet in the direction you would take the manifold off .if your careful take a screw driver and place it where the head and manifold meet and try to use it to pry apart you can even tap on it do not use to much force when doing that because it is aluminum. I forgot to mention to make sure that every thing in the top front of the engine should be removed that could be interfearing with the process. and if there are any studs that are still in the manifold remove them by taking two of the nuts you have already taken off screw them on to the studs , bind them togeather on the stud, the top go clock wise , and the bottom go counter clock wise, once you have bound them go to the bottom nut and turn it counterclock wise ,sometimes the studs will refrain you from lifting the manifold out.
