Have them put the new tires on the rear rims, then move the worn front tires to the rear and install the new tires on the front.

You always put the new ones on the front. Put the used ones on the rear. That gives you time to save up for two new ones at a later time. Then do the process all over again. New on the front, used on the rear. On 4X4’s it is always desirable to replace all four at once, but we don’t always have that option, “money”.

I put new ballanced quiet tires in front for my customers who just won't go out and buy a whole set. 4x4 really uses up tires. Why not get four new tires? That way with winter just around the corner you will have traction. Keep the extra two for flat tire and summer use buy a couple extra wheels?

If you use mostly rear drive put them on the rear...just like if you have a front wheel drive car you always put new tires in front....

I am assuming the front tires are in better shape than the back put the new tires on the back then buy two tires for the front and replace them.

we usually tell people to put them on the front... and out of the four that are currently on the truck pick out the two best and put them on the rear...
