the tab or wire going to the window broke off and the defroster stopped working. I dont know if you are to glue it back, or weld it or sodder it back to the window. I bought a kit from the store but it only repairs the lines in the defroster. Please help me.

I have 2001 Nissan Sentra. after rear-accident body repair. shop told me my front wheel bearings are shot. needs to be replaced immideatly, cost about $550 bucks. 200 in parts + 350 in Labor. Insurance company rejects the claim. as per them they have nothing to do with front wheel bearings. I have no noise prior to accident. This was a major rear end accidnet - cost them 6000 and 3 weeks to fix it up. my question is can this rear end accident cause my front wheel bearing to shot. car was not in motion and it was hit on rear at atleast 35-45 mph.

I have a 1990 Acura Integra and it seems like the car doesn't go like it used to. The exhaust was replaced 3 years ago. The catalyic converter was not replaced at that time. Also had a tune-up not that long ago.

work I started it up on Saturday,drove about a half mile to the store,went in for about 5 minutes,came out and it wouldn't crank.There is no clicking or stalling noise or anything.There was corrosion on the battery heads.I had it cleaned,but it still wouldn't start.I then put a new battery in it,still nothing.I had a new alternator put on approximately 6 mos. ago.You know how a car won't start if it isn't in park or neutral?Well that's how it seems.What could this be?Please help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

i have an 88 buick century. my car lightly squeals at all times and now all my warning lights are on. my power steering fluid is full but looks like mud and i noticed there is a round metal wheel on the passenger side of the motor that is just laying there. it is also starting to whine when im driving this all happened over night. can anyone tell me what is wrong with my car. i dont know very much about cars.

OK, I have, in past, helped to restore to perfect running order (although it looked like hell) a '63 Volkswagen Beetle. I really had a good time, though it was quite a lot of work (especially cleaning all the pine needles out of the bonnet).

I'd like to maybe start slowly restoring another car (given that I can find one I like), and I find the British Morris Minors quite charming. Where do I find one that won't cost me the world? Doesn't need to be good looking or running, but it helps. In Glasgow or surrounding area a plus!

I have a 99 ford windstar with 45000 miles. I've been told the CVC? joint is probably bad as it knocks once in a while when I turn or sometimes even when I'm going straight, like over rough rr tracks. But now it's also making another sound. It's really noticable between 55 and 60 mph. It sounds like something is rubbing on the front passenger tire. My dad drove it and thought it was road noise, but he rotated the tires and that didn't help and now it seems to be getting worse. Would this have anything to do with the CVC joint? Any ideas on what it could be? Or any guess as to how much to fix it?? THanks!

My best friend's car has been overheating, and there was a leak from one of the intake hoses so we replaced that thinking that would do the trick, however, it continued to overheat. So she took it to a shop and had a cooling system test ran on it to see what's causing the overheating. A crack in the intake Manifold. She was told it would be preety expensive to replace. Would this problem also cause issues with your sensor? Because her airbag light keeps flashing too.

At first the radio stopped working then the door locks on the driver side stopped....it is a 2004 jeep and now the interior lights dim if you try to turn the light up, the int light comes on and won't go off. The driver side window switches don't even work anymore. I have only had this jeep about 6 months and have already tried to replace part in driver door but that wasn't the problem. Please give me some advice on what I should do or what may be wrong

i know the fuel pump works because it pumps alot of gas out of the fuel filter when the key is on. when attempting to start, i cannot smell fuel in the throttle body.

I am trying to sell my car but have a problem that needs sorting before I do.

When the windscreen wipers are on and move to the top of their action (i.e. pointing skywards) the engine cuts out for a fraction of a second. As soon as the wipers begin to move back to the starting position the engine comes back on.

This is really irritating and obviously gets worse if you have the wipers on a faster setting.

If it helps it is a 1998 Seat Ibiza.

Anyone know what I can do myself to stop this? I do not want to take it to a garage as they will charge hundreds for doing very little.

Help me heal my car so someone can buy it. Thanks!

I can't afford the $1700 it will cost me to get it professionally done, so I want to know if there's some kind of sealer someone has used that worked wonders for them. I bought this vehicle in May and at that point the sensor reading for MPG was 14.7. It has gradually decreased to now reading 13.0....... Is this a normal rate of decline and anyone know what may be causing such a sharp decline? Seems quite precipitous to me. 15,000 miles @ purchase, currently has 20,300 miles. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

Hope somebody can help. I have a 1993 escort diesel (1.8) which starts first time and runs fine. Recently it's started to have a bit of an issue where i'll lose engine power at low speeds or at idle. (less than 30mph) If i stamp on the accelerator i get nothing and the engine eventually dies and stalls. It starts first time again afterwards which is a positive, i just wonder if anyone can help diagnose what might cause this?!
