My friend,a girl, went to a mechanic to get the brakes fixed on her car, and they estimated almost $3,000!!! Her husband took it somewhere else and they estimated only $800. The first place also told her that something was wrong with the transmission and she would have to come back in soon to get it fixed, whereas the other place said everthing was fine... Is it true that auto shops always see a sucker when a woman walks into the shop alone?

I had my oil changed today and I have 123,000 miles on my car. I have regular oil changes. Jiffy Lube recommended that I have a engine flush done on my engine, because it needed it. I OK'd it. I only live a few blocks from jiffy lube and did not notice anything different except I didn't have as much oil pressure as usual. Later that day I had to go to a funeral and drove approx 10 miles and when I stop for a light, my engine oil light came on and my engine pressure drop to almost 0. I stop for about an hour and when I started it up the pressure was up alittle and then it drop again.

I have a problem with my keyless entry/car alarm system. I have the system that locks the car automatically after 10 seconds. And if i don't open the car with the Remote and use the Key, the system ticks and ticks, usually until i find the remote and click it. But now the remote does nothing and the car ticks all the time until the battery dies. Or until i remove the system. :( PLEASE HELP!!!

i sanded the fenders on my bike with 150 grit. I primed one piece and i noticed in the areas where i had to use some extra force (decal glue, ripples in clear coat) it showed through the primer as little scratches. Now, i have to sand the whole bike again with like 250 grit. Is there anything else i can do? (please no comedians im kind of pissed about this)

Will using 10w30 oil instead 5w30 on my 2003 Camry create any problems? Is there any long term problems. My manual says to use 5w30 but is 10w30 that much of a difference.
