I had my oil changed today and I have 123,000 miles on my car. I have regular oil changes. Jiffy Lube recommended that I have a engine flush done on my engine, because it needed it. I OK'd it. I only live a few blocks from jiffy lube and did not notice anything different except I didn't have as much oil pressure as usual. Later that day I had to go to a funeral and drove approx 10 miles and when I stop for a light, my engine oil light came on and my engine pressure drop to almost 0. I stop for about an hour and when I started it up the pressure was up alittle and then it drop again.

With higher milage enginges they tend to have a buildup around the bearings and other surfices that helps hold the oil in the right places when washed out the oil flows out and the result is a loose of pressure. The cheap cure is to use heavier oil ie. from 5w-30 changed to 15w-50. the proper fix is new bearings or a rebuild.
With 123000 miles I would try the oil and save for the overhaul.
Another possability is the flush loosened some trash and made the oil pump pressure relief stick open. A cheap fix is a new pump (get a hi volume).

If your car has lived on the P-oil for all of its life you could be in trouble. Never flush out a dirty engine, you are just asking for trouble. You might get by with some 20/50 now.

They may have forgotten to put the oil drain plug back in and you could be out of oil. They did that to a friend of mine and almost blew her car up! Better check your oil A.S.A.P. !!!!!!!!!!!!
