ok before I really make my hubby mad and tell him, I pretty much ran my car out of gas, a 94 plymouth acclaim, as I was coming home. The car never died, but just lost power and speed. When I got home the car will start, but runs choppy, backfiring, and dies if you let off the fuel. It has spark, a 2 month old pump, and most everything else replaced. I was thinking maybe running it so low on gas it may have sucked up some gunk, but I'm not really sure. Thanks much if you have any advice.

My 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 is having some serious electrical problems, and when we brought it to the dealership they just said that a bunch of Ford Focus' from that certain year had the same problem. I don't think there was a recall, and they sort of admitted that they didn't really know how to fix the problem. It's an intermittent problem where the lights, radio, air conditioning, and everything else connected to the 'ground' electrical circuit just sort of fail as I'm driving. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM? I NEED SOME SERIOUS ANSWERS BECAUSE I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR

I originally bought a set of fog lights for my car. They were 2, 55 watt fog lights which are connected to a remote control box for control from a wireless remote. This system came wired to a 15 amp fuse. I recently purchased another pair of lights and I spliced them into the wiring of the older set of fog lights. After wiring everything together, the lights would work for about 10 minutes while the car was on, and then shut off. I discovered that the fuse blew out and so I replaced it with another 15 amp fuse I have. Of course that blew out too. I'm assuming that because there are 2 more lights, both 55 watt each that there needs to be a stronger fuse. Does it make sense to just get a 30 amp fuse to compensate for the extra wattage or do I need a stronger one?

My Patrol has a faded roof and a few small stone chips in the bonnet which are starting to rust, otherwise it is pretty good condition. Would it be worth while having it resprayed? If so, how much AU$ am I looking at?

If Tires are built 47 week of 04, can they be installed on a vehicle built 12/04?
Or is there a curing period for tires before being installed. I'm trying to find out if this 2005 Dakota built 12/04 as already seen it's second set of tires.

I have a 1998 Ford Escort ZX2. When I tried to start my car, the car "clicked" but the engine did not start. The lights were working and the radio also worked, but the clock and preset stations had been reset. My battery was 15months old. I returned that battery and put in a new one. Everything appeared to be working fine. One week later the same thing happened and I had to get a jump to get my car started. My batteries were "no name" ones purchased from Sam's Club/Walmart. Do you think I've received two defective batteries or is my alternator at fault?

I have a 94 chevy beretta. It keeps over heating. The shop says the water pump is fine. when it gets hot water pushes through the raid. cap. The strangest part is when I am not on the gas & coasting the temp rises. When I am on the accelarator it cools. My mechanic (Known for his good work) has even riged a x-tra fan on it & it still runs hot. It now sounds like a jet due to all the fans. Hoses are good therm. good new raid. cap. what else could it be ?

My new (to me) 2004 Nissan Sentra has recently started giving me some problems at start up. I used to be able to just turn the ignition switch and start. Now I find myself pumping the gas and/or turning off the radio and A/C, basically the tricks I learned to help my 87 Corolla start. After a pedal pump, it'll start right up, but I've only had this car since July. It's too new for this kind of thing. My dad thinks it's something with the fuel injectors (dirty I assume). Does this sound right?
