normally about 4 quarts goes into most car transmissions. A way you can do it is check the dip stick after 3 to 4 quarts have been put in. Then slowly add more until it is showing good. Remember, transmission fluid is checked with vehicle running.

when its completely empty including the converter it holds 10 quarts if you are going to change it then it will hold 5 quarts add fluid with car running in park with motor warm add 4 and check before adding the last one you may need to wait until it runs a little to fill transmission

I don't know, but I have that very car. Is it a 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder? I have the 6 and am starting to have troubles with it.
