My new (to me) 2004 Nissan Sentra has recently started giving me some problems at start up. I used to be able to just turn the ignition switch and start. Now I find myself pumping the gas and/or turning off the radio and A/C, basically the tricks I learned to help my 87 Corolla start. After a pedal pump, it'll start right up, but I've only had this car since July. It's too new for this kind of thing. My dad thinks it's something with the fuel injectors (dirty I assume). Does this sound right?

No, its probably a problem with the battery. Get it checked out. Fuel injectors would have nothing to with the radio or a/c.

Check the battery connections, make sure they are not loose or corroded. Get your charging system checked at Advance auto parts. It's free. Once the Battery and charging system are ruled out. Replace the fuel filter! Try this...Turn your ignition to the on position but not to crank a few times. Then start it. If this seems to work the 1st few times you try it when you normally would have had to pump the gas then your fuel pump is straining to get fuel past a restricted filter.
Or your fuel pump may be getting ready to fail. That new gas they are putting out has cause fuel pumps to fail. But don't freak out! Try the on off thing a few times. Then get your filter changed. It's alot less expensive to replace the filter than the fuel pump. Also try LUCAS FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER. It's good stuff,And you only need one ounce for every ten gallons of gas you put in. One bottle will work for about 8 fill ups.I would put some in every 3rd fill up

It could be a weak battery, I would have to see first hand what it is doing but like your dad says, injectors could need cleaned or fuel pump could be going bad, you shouldn"t have to pump the gas at all on a fuel injected engine. How old are the spark plugs? you should get the fuel pump pressure checked.

Hay, think your dad is right.
I had the same problem with my old car ( old 1982 Ford escort).
It turned out to be the fuel injectors.( broken not dirty)

Sounds to me that you have a weak battery. It should be checked out before you get stranded at a time and place NOT of your choosing.
