Why don't you just go to the parts store and ask them.

You shoud not need to pull off the timing gear at end of crankshaft. Rather, look for some type of "tensioner" that is holding timing chain (or belt) on so tight. Loosen it instead. Note: even with it loose, it will still be difficult to get this belt (chain) off. There are many types of tensioners. Depends on car. Buy a Chilton's for yoour specific car ($16) and it will take you step by step instructions to do anything on your car. Even a big job like a head gasket job.
Any puller will work. Your auto parts store will often loan these out, or sell cheap ones (but they DO work just as well).
Why do you want to take off this gear anyway??? If you still do, make sure it goes back in exact same position, so mark with paint or chalk. I like to use small touch up white paint.

Just as in the other posts, you will need a three jaw type puller along with a quarter inch drive extension to stick into the hole where crankshaft pulley bolt threads into, once its removed. The crank pulley is not keyed to the crankshaft. Im assuming you need to remove this pulley for access to the timing belt. Or you are attempting to replace the head gasket. These cars were VERY common for this problem.

You need a small 3 jaw puller that hooks into the spokes on the harmonic balancer. Also with the main bolt removed you need to place a metal dowel (crystler special tool ka1928364673992etc) so the puller has something to push on besides the balancer itself. Takes some swearing. good luck

i have done this on go to a dodge dealer and tell them u need the puller for the timing belt crank pulley. its a special one and runs $150 in the store. its mush cheper to rent it. do not use a 3 jawd puller with an extension or small bolt theres a good chance of damageing the crank. trust me been there doine that
