It wont turn over at all. I have lights, dome lights and radio, but no power windows or locks. I took off the battery cables and cleaned them and tried again and it still wont even turn over, no noise from the engine at all. Is there a fuse connected to the starter? I checked all the regular fuses. I am at a total loss. Please HELP!!

I could use some instructions on how to dismantle the rear driver's side door. I have a tool to get the clips on the bottom to pop, but the upper middle door panel won't release. Is there a trick to how to get the door off (ie, screws).

He said a mechanic MUST do the repairs..somthing about a timing belt..i dunno I suck with cars.anyway, he also said it would be about $300!!!!! I DO NOT have that lol. Is there anyway to do it with a friend? or is he right? will it actually be $300??

Does anyone know in detail what these codes are reffering to? P1490 Low speed radiator fan control circuit problem. ( I have already replaced this relay) P1193Inlet air temperature sensor voltage is wrong. ( I know where the air temp sensor is but my parts store does not have a replacement.) Where can I begin with trying to fix these problems. I need my radiator fan working again. Thank you guys.

The truck body frame needs welding repair to points where the body holders are situated or at the leaf spring suspension hardpoints. The bed isn't a problem. Detaching a cab from its frame without too much cutting is what I'd like to know about. The cab has 3 left and 3 right points where the cab and frame meet. These 6 points have totally rusted out along with its rubber body holders. The ride is hard since the 6 points holding the cab body sit above or below their original places or on the frame directly.

I need to lift, remove and re-attach the cab so that I can weld new hardpoints without the cab's obstruction. Is this possible or is it time for a new truck ?

THE TRUCK HAS BEEN DISMANTLE AS FAR AS TAKING THE TIRE OFF AND REMOVING THE 4X4 HUB COVER BUT IT ALSO HAS AN XTRA ALLUMINUN COVER THAT HAS NO OPEN SLOTS AS TO TAKE OFF WITH A SCREWDRIVER OR ANY TOOL TO POP IT OFF OR UNSCREW IT. THAT IS KEEPING IT FROM REMOVING THE ROTORS TO BE RESURFACED

The rear axle nut will not stay tight enough against the drum, therefor the wheel has play in it and it is getting worse. I am not sure if the axle is being ruined because there seems to be too much play with the drum but the splines on the axle don't look like they are being worn out, but it shouldn't have any play right? It must be the play between the axle and the drum that is loosening that nut. But the axle nut was not staying tight before the play developed. What do I need to do?

my brother has a 1999 grand cherokee with the straight 6 engine. We are trying to figure out this problem, hopfully someone can help. Here it is.
The truck starts and runs nice at around 900 rpm, but sometimes you will be driving along and for some reason, it wants to stall, and usually does. One time, I was doning about 60 mph, it stalled for a sec, but came right back ( i guess cause the engine was rotating enough to gain back its firing - i dont know). When it does stall, it will sometimes start right back up, but sometimes you have to let the truck sit, and come back to it. There is NO engine light on, i checked all the fuses, checked for short at the battery - in series with the neg terminal, there DOES seem to be a short ( i dont know if its related ) , the truck just hit 100,000 miles, we just replaced the crank sensor - that did nothing, I DID notice however when I drove it before, that the truck began to overheat.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? Thanks

My 2003 Mustang with 55000 miles on it makes a squealing type noise at low speed and when turning (left) from the rear axle. There is a TSB out on it that says it could be the clutch pack. Anybody have any experience with this problem? What does it take to fix?

My car had been sitting for a week when i turned it on everything came on fine. Air works good, car runs fine, but all my lights like check engine, change oil, battery light, everything came on plus the temperature measure thing moves down then back to normal like it turned off then turned back on. My car works fine, my boyfriend checked the ground wire and it was alittle rusty but he cleaned it but the lights still flicker!! Could it be a fuse? Whats wrong?

its a little beat up, I havent run the engine in about three years, it has some rust in the trunk and the brakes are gone or frozen in place. I was thinking of pushing it backwards to see if it restores itself like my friend Arnies, plymouth but the parking break is stuck and the wheel drags. What do the expirianced gear heads out there say to a very green novice like myself?

Is synthetic oil better for you car then reg. oil, can you switch from one to the other after you have 20k plus miles on your car, and does it take a differnt type of filter. Your knowledge will be appreciated
