Its not the valve cover its the spark plug seals in the valve cover, they have small rubber seals with a spring to keep them loaded, they are easy to fix under the valve cover where the spark plug holes are, flip it over and look up there should be 4 small o rings, replace them i dont think they come with the valve cover , but you need to replace it ne way since your removing the cover. that should fix it very common with older honda 4 cyl.

I second the motion of a leaky valve cover. There is no oil running through the spark plug wire...it has to come from somewhere else, likely from above. So look and feel around for your oil leak above the spark plugs.

Since spark plugs are below the valve covers it usually means you have a leaking valve cover. Try GENTLY tightening the valve cover bolts to uniform torque. If this fails to stop the leak you may have to replace the valve cover gasket.

It usually means your valve cover gasket is leaking. Each cylnder has an oring on the valve cover to keep oil out.A new valve cover gasket should fix it..
