Greetings. I ran my 93 Honda Civic DX out of gas, luckily in my driveway. I'm not very mechanicly enclined, I've consulted my Honda manuel. I've consulted my Haynes book, neither of which really give any information on what I need to do aside from refueling the vehicle. After consulting the manuels, I have learned that the fuel pump is in the tank. That a vaccuous sound when taking the gas cap off is perfectly normal (because that is how the pump works) so I added 1 gallon to the tank, but I have a feeling adding more gas cant be that simple. Or is it? And if so, how much gas is necessary to start?

I'm really lost.
Please help! :(

Thanks In Advance

I stuffed a 350 sbc into my jeep cherokee when i first started it i was getting 65psi of oil pressure at idle. not im only etting around 30 at idle when cold and 10 or less at idle when hot. some of you are going to say clearances when i assembled my motor i had 3 thousands of clearance onthe rods and mains. i put posi-locks to keep the valves from backing off dad reset them. any ideas? i pulled the pan off the oil pump was tight the drive shaft was still on, the screen wasent stopped up, im goign to try a new filter if that dosent work maybe a new pump. im getting 10 at idle then it goes down it will go up to maybe 30-40 psi when r'ed up

We have a 91 Chevy G20 conversion van ..it has started having a major problem..when you are driving down the road, the check engine light will come on and the van will lose power..the gas pedal will be all the way to the floor but it wont do anything..we have had several friends tell us different things that could be wrong with it, but no mechanic yet..a couple said that it could be the distributor, one said the carburetor, and another said the fuel pump.....does anyone have any suggestions?

My mom takes her dogs out in her car is extremely filthy with dirt marks and smells like wet dog. The mats are stained dark brown. I have a steam vac and it might not cut it, or might take forever. Also she spilled ice cream on the trunk mat. I need a good list of products to clean the vinyl, leather, fabric mats, windows, headlights, taillights, tires, rims, hand vacuum or whatever to make the car really clean. Thanks.

i came across a 64 chevy corvair that has been sitting for 26 years un started. it was uncoerd by the hair and pulled into sunlight. the owner says the motor will turn over but will not start. i am aware that by now all the rubber has cracks and the fluids are solidified.... but other than the obvious, what should i look at in getting it to run? fuel pump? carb?
