The style of brake rotor used on European cars can't be turned when they develop runout; if they are worn to or below minimum safe thickness, they must be replaced.

To answer the question, just to replace your front and rear brake pads, you're looking at about $130 for the front set and $80 for the rear. Installation will pay about a half hour to fifty minutes flat-rate.

If you're looking at replacing your rotors you can add about $100 for the front set and $90 for the rear of good-quality Brembo vented rotors. Plus an hour and a half flat-rate for the installation, you're looking at about $600-$900 for a complete brake job, depending on the brand you use and the shop's labor rate.

My shop usually runs $600-$700--depending on the brand of brakes the customer wants to use. We charge $80 per hour.

Jaguars are absolutely different from American cars, and you can't use a brake job on an Oldsmobile Alero as a benchmark for what a complete brake job on a Jaguar will cost you. DON'T take your brake job to Brake Team or Meineke. Unless you live in Beverly Hills, they don't have Jaguar experience. More than a few brake jobs we've had to correct are the result of the owner trying to save money by going to some cut-rate "oil! lube! shocks!" franchise.

Hope this helps!

Shouldn't be too much. My husband just bought new ones for my 99 Dodge Intrepid; 3 yr warranty. Cost $19.99 at O'Reily's Autoparts and he put them on. I think Midas is running a $89.95 special but that may the cost just for labor. Hope this helps!
