I check for the code and it says that the catalytic converter is the problem. The light was reset. How important is it to change it, or can I wait until my emissions test? Does it have any other effects on performance of the car?

It's a wire fall down near the brake; I'm not sure if it directly
related to this problem. The anti-lock light is on when I drive
after the wire fell down. I tried to connect it to the right position,
but it is hard to find the right way to do it.

I took it off and it is loud, very loud. Its a 2004 chevy silverado v8 and seems to be running good, but im concerned with it in the long haul? Am I do major damage to the truck...am I an idiot lol? Please Help!! Thanks

i have just purchased a polisher for my car which comes with three different coloured polishing sponges could anyone explain to me which sponge to use first , whether or not to use some kind of wetting agent when applying polish as i have used one dry with polish and it has started to break up , i really need some technical help and a full explanation of when and how to use these sponge heads, thank you .

94 Ford Explorer doesn't start, won't even crank. We tried jumping it, but nothing. Three weeks ago, it wouldn't start but we jumped it and it would go. We had to do this several times. Got the battery recharged and it was good. All of a sudden, it won't start. Any ideas?

My boyfriend bought a 96 Pontiac Sunbird for his stepson. First two days the car started w/no problems, but third day the battery was completly dead. He thinks that is because the anti theft system is activated and the fact it remains on at all times- is the cause of battery going dead. We wouldn't have used anti theft system anyway and have no clue how to engage or disengage it. Anyone have a clue? Does this make sense? Thanks

My friend's car was squealing, I offered to help thinking it was an easy brakepad change... well it turns out that one of the pads came off and was stuck between the rotor and the caliper, he has a 96 honda passport??? I'm not allowed to hammer it out!.. lol.. what are my other options...?? =D

I had a leaky valve and my car overheated while I was driving because all of the coolant leaked out. I pulled over and shut off the car, but I was just wondering what would really happen if I had kept driving? I know it would cause major damage to the engine, but would the engine simply die? Would there be an explosion? Fire? What would happen?
