Does it turn over slower interior the morning? if so then it must be that the two the battery is a sprint on the previous area or the starter is maybe on its way out. even with the shown fact that the corsa does not have the physically powerful gasoline device and many times there could be problems with the idle velocity controller. Does the vehicle idle rapid or sluggish while it gets going?

its a diesel, so U have to wait for the glow plugs to turn off, b4 U start it. that's the little yellow light on the dashboard that looks like a bulb filament. if U already do this, and U would be surprised how many people don't, then once the light goes out, quickly turn off the ignition, and turn it back on, so the glow-plug light comes on again.

U can do this up to 3 times in a row, any more and U run a very high risk of burning out the glow-plugs

if this does work then U will eventually need so new glow-plugs

i hope this helps

Hi, I have the same car, 1.5! Im afraid it's the joys of a diesel. You need to let glow plugs warm up (they may need replacing if it takes ages for the engine to turn) There is a light on the dash board that looks like a spring on its side always wait for this to go out! Thats all you can do really. Annoying isn't it? But hey think of the money we are saving by using a diesel car!

Diesel are always slow to start and as with every car always drive slowly in the morning without pushing your engine especially if its been cold or rainy at night. For any diesel, you have to watch out for the light on the dash and let your engine turn for a few minutes before leaving.

Could be a few things:

A couple of the glow plugs could be dead.
The fuse / relay for the glow plugs could be defective.
There may be a pin hole leak in the fuel pipes letting air into the system.
Dirty injectors (rare these days).
You could add a 'cetane booster' (like petrol's octane..) to make starting easier....50% kerosene or heating fuel oil works wonders....just remember to pay the tax.

Hope that helps.

first of all are you giving the glowplugs time to warm up? there is usually as light on the dash you need to let go out before starting the engine - sometimes a with a picture of a coil on it.

After that maybe try new glowplugs.
