how well would it work...and what difficulties could i encounter when putting it in

There's a saying that any engine swap is possible given enough time, money, Sawzall blades, and welding wire. But this is not an easy swap at all. Not only will you have to do a lot of fabrication, the Prowler puts its transmission at the back of the car, while the Nissan has it at the front! The only known conventional rear wheel drive transmission that may bolt to that motor is the automatic from V6 equipped LX platform cars (300C, Magnum, Charger). You may be better off snagging a complete motor from one of those cars.

And when you're done, you will end up with an engine that has less aftermarkt support than the original V6 that came in the Z car. It's a lot of work for what you end up with.

I could have stayed up all night and not come up with a dumber idea than to put that Chrysler motor into a Nissan.

Keep the same engine that's in there.
