My car (97 Grand Am Pontiac) is just blowing air- like a fan. And, I just got a new compressor put in about 3 months ago. The air was never SUPER cool after it was changed, but it was still cool. Could it be anything else? Thanks for any help.

I have an old Saab, and whenever I go over bumps or the car is driving over rough roads, there is a constant squeaking that seems to come from the entire body of the car, but mainly from the rear. Is it my suspension? Is it the chassis? What can I do?

I have a '74 Dart 318. It's got the 7 1/4" rear with 2.76 gears. I break the rear U-joint that bolts to the differential yoke every week. It's only the 2 bearing cups of the rear joint that bolt to the yoke that break. The 2 cups you hammer into the driveshaft don't break, even after the car is shaking etc. and the front U-joint that connects the driveshaft to the transmission yoke is still the original I believe. It's never broken. The car's got a hopped up 318 and i run it hard. I'm wondering if it's the yoke, or if the differential housing angles up when i hit the gas causing severe pinion angles. Help please!!

I have a 95 mitsubishi eclipse gs-t, and after driving about town for 20min or so, the engine rev's up to 2000 to 2500 (without driver influence) and the only way to stop it is to turn off the car, and leave it for 4 hrs or so. My mechanic said he could not find anything, is there anything I can do or look for to fix this? Or just go to another mechanic?

It happens with or without the A/C on. The car is a 1994 Buick Century Custom (V-6) with 66,000 original miles on it. Would this indicate a need for new thermostat? Recently, the radiator was inspected and functioning well. I already added extra Prestone coolant/ anti-freeze 50/50. Thanks for any help before I take it to the garage and spend MORE money. I recently replaced the fuel pump and filter, new brakes and heater coil.

my engine overheated recently after some debris from the road jammed in the cooling fan. the engine (3 litre V6 Nissan) has now been stripped revealing some rings have siezed up causing very faint scratches to some but not all of the bores. Obviously I dont want to do more damage but can I polish out the scratches with a cloth and some smooth grinding paste or is there a resonably priced honing tool available for the diy enthusiast?

Is there any way to keep your tint from bubbling on a rear window with rear defrost? I always see other cars that have bubbles where those little wires heat up...it looks so crappy. i don't want my car to look like that, is there anything i can do to make it not bubble other than not using the rear defrost?

i currently own a 95 mustang v-6...it has good power for a 6 cylinder. But i want to upgrade to a 4.6 or 5.0 because I am going ahead redoing everything to it. How much would it cost for a good used GT engine and tranny? I had a guy told me he would sell me both for 1100 bucks. and that was w/o warranty and he didnt know the mileage for the engine. Is that a good deal? and where are some sites i can go to buy an engine and tranny other than ebay? and would the power be increased by alot? For all you that answer, i greatly appreciate it.

My shifter became hard to shift into gears. It then started to feel when pulling out of a gear that it wasn't being released easy even with the clutch pushed in.
Now even with the clutch pushed all the way in if try to start the engine it pushes the car in gear . The clutch isn't that old. I don't know if there is even a way to adjust the clutch. Any help would be much apprectated. thanks.

'99 Ford Contour has always started smoothly. Last week I had a pair of oxygen sensors replaced (downstream bank 1 sensor 1 reading "system too lean") because the check engine light was on, but there was no problem with the engine starting or running. They also cleaned the fuel injectors and intake.
But following that service, my car now cranks a lot longer before turning over, especially upon cold start. On warm start takes slightly longer to turn over than it used too, and there is some knocking. How could this relate to the oxygen sensor repairs? What can I expect the repair shop to do to diagnose this problem? Thanks!

I just bought a used vehicle recently. It appears that the previous owner sprayed Armor-All on the interior and got some on the windows. He never wiped it off and it must have dried, now I can't get it off my windows. I've tried Windex, vinegar and even acetone. I have never seen anything like this. Can you help?
