In additon to resetting the code here is another possibility...
I have a 92 LeSabre with a cam postion senor fault...did the same thing you did but the fault still exists. Here is the bad news. There is a magnet in the timing chain gears that this sensor sees. This magnet has two purposes. One is the trip the sensor and the other is to fall out. Mine has and it will cost 500 plus to repair, requires engine removal and tear down, new timing gears, yeah alot of fun. Good news is I can still drive it, doesn't seem to affect fuel mileage. The fuel injectors fire all the time, default setting on the engine computer. Yes the light is annoying but this vehicle has over 165K on the odo and it's not worth the investment.

Those check engine computer codes don't always have all the issues covered.Sometimes the problem is a part that is connected to the part that the code says is the problem.( like is the cam shaft in the right position? )You might also have to reset the error code ,takes the code reader.

did you erase the trouble code off from it after you put the sensor on,,i once had one that we did that too and it still read it was bad,,after erasing the trouble code ,,the light went off,,but some of them wont go off after you put a sensor on,,there is a thing called a loop on the computer controlled systems,,what it will do is when you replace one sensor it will tell you another one is bad,,i have had this happen a few times,,the best way to stop this from happening,,is to take the battery cable off before you replace any sensor,,this seems to stop it from happening,,i hope this help,s you.

ok first of all a ford computer has 2 readings or "sides" you have hard (fautl) codes, and you have bad part codes. one bad part could kick out several trouble codes which one of them may include it saying your throttle position sensor was out. I dont know how you obtained your code, but I recommend that you take it to your dealer or a reputable repair shop that has the proper code reader that can read both hard codes and bad part codes.

most cars are so computer tech now, that they are also prone to malfunction from time to time.either you can go with that,or have an ase certified mechanic, preferably at a ford dealership check it.my airbag light comes on all the time when i go over rough bumps in the road, but thats the car's computer going hay wired.
