My brother recently gave me his car. But it has a Florida license plate and the registration expired June 2006. He also lost the title.
How do we get a replacement title, and get it registered in South Carolina?

Hello, I live in Southern Ontario. Recently my dog escaped my yard and was struck by a vehicle. Luckily my dog survived the accident without any severe damage. The car on the other hand needed $1,500 in repairs. I'm just curious as to who is liable for the damage? Would it be the drivers insurance company? My home insurance? I heard that if a vehicle strikes an animal, then there coverd through automible insurance under no fault. I'm trying to find more information on this matter. Any help would be appreciated.

I have not payed my car tax for atleast a good month. i lost the mail payment and now dont know what to do. do i call the Tax department? or will they send me another one? and what if i dont pay for awhile? its not much it was just like $30, cause i drive a crappy car. Anyways how do i pay them if i dont have the mail they send me.

I am in the process of buying a new car. When I get round to it, I intend to sell my old car, but in the meantime it will be garaged and not used. When I get my new car, can I just swap my car insurance over from my old car to my new one or am I legally obliged to keep on the policy for the old car until I sell it, even though I will not use it?

I was driving down a street and intending to park to my passenger side. There were cars already parked on this side. I drove parallel to these cars, but as there was plenty of space I could drive straight in to a park. All of a sudden there was contact with my car on my passenger side. I turned away and then pulled over. The other driver was already out of their car yelling and screaming when I got out of mine. "Didn't you see me. I had my indicator on?" was the first thing they said. I told them to relax and looked at both cars. I said "If you had your indicator on then you hit me as you pulled out" The lady changed her story to "I had only just got in to the car and was stationary" so I said "how did you manage to get your indicator on then?" there were 3 people in the car. The damage is deepest towards the front of the damage on my car. The mirrors did not hit each other. The damage is on the front and side of her bumper.

This perplexes me. I have used old insurance policy numbers to get my plates for my car. Yet the license branch doesn't catch on. Does anybody else do this?

I got my car repo and when I call the bank they said I need to pay it off in order for me to get my car back, I told them I have the money to put the loan current and 2 months in advance but they still dont want to work with me, what can I do? I really want my car back. Thanx in advanced

February the 9th I was involved in a small accident. My car started jerking as I was parking and it made me bump this lady's car n front of me. It appeared that nothing was wrong other than a scratch on her bumper and a small dent. I gave her my insurance info which she wrote down. Then I proceeded 2 call the police & she said no over 5 times & said she saw no reason to get them involved or file it on either of our insurance because it wasn't major. My mother said se would give her what she could to help on her bumper. The lady called us saying it would be a $1000! We said no way then she found another guy who said the bumper would be 500 my mother paid her half. She got mad when we wouldn't give her all of it. Now she called my insurance agent. Can she do anything over a month later with no police report? No pictures? No nothing? I am from Mississippi by the way I know the law varies.

I just got my DL in Wyoming renewed. It is good till 2011. If I go back to Ohio do I have to get an Ohio Driver's License to register my car? I know they law says you are supposed to get a DL within a certain amount of time, but what will they do if you don't? Can't I say I still live in Wyoming? Ohio makes it really hard to change DL from another state. They want you to take the written test again (Stupid I think, cause I have a valid DL from another state and I have NO tickets or accidents.) Was just wondering.

I just found that my pick up truck has 9 history report from Department of Motor Vehicle, i bought it in a Nissan dealership and they never told me anything about any accident record of the truck, it's a 2002 with 45k miles on it, i got monthly payments, but i want to get rid of it, what shoul i do ??

The other driver ran the red light and plowed into him. The driver SWORE she had the light and the cop at the scene found my husband at fault! My husband confessed that he forgot to pay OUR insurance policy and it had been cancelled!
Her insurance company denied our claim, of course! We went to court to fight the traffic violation, the other driver never showed and the judge dismissed the citation, ruling in our favor. With the the citation gone, basically finding my husband NOT at fault, can refile the claim with other driver's insurance company?

i went to the clerks office to show proof and they would not except my insurance card ,declaration page,or faxes of any thing at all.they wanted a mailed letter from my ins. agent . they told me this is because these other documents are easily manipulated. it seems to me that the clerk ,siting government policy has insinuated that I would falsify leagal documents therefore slandering me. have they not ?

for my permit - First im going to take the 4 hour class , then take the test correct ? .... Then how long do i have to drive on the permit with a 21 or older before i can get my license when i can drive alone ? ... Then throughout this whole process do i have to take a driving test with a instructor ?

I got a speeding ticket in California and took a class to remove it.
A year later, I was stupid and got another. Through the usual DMV red tape, the first was never removed as it should have been. Now they tell me the first is on there because the second negates the fact that I took the class; another violation means the first can't be removed. Here's the catch:
I had a lawyer help me with the second ticket and in the process, ensure the courts would allow the class on the first.

Is the DMV telling full of it? Does the second violation mean the first can't be removed?
How do I clean this up if my lawyer's work if valid? I'm working with the DMV here!!
