Contact the dealer's division for your state, explain what has occurred, the dealer is required to follow regulations regarding disclosure of rebuilt/salvage/totalled vehicles, this problem is very bad right now because of the Katrina hurricane, cars are cleaned up and shipped north/or as far away as possible, end in auctions for sale to dealers, do you see the cycle? The DMV can give you the entire history of the truck, I take it that is how you found the problems, or did you receive the title and there is a big stamp across it stating it is a salvage title? Dealers are required to tell you things, some things only if you ask the question, the "ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies", line of thinking is lousy in the used car world, and used often. Be sure to go through the dealer's division, their right to do business is at risk in cases where they have been warned before, next time you make a purchase whether from a dealer or the general public, ask to see the title, there is alot of info on that piece of paper, never purchase without a title, by law the dealer has to have the newest title, and the title must be in their name to legally sell it. Good luck.

Look at your title.
Does it say "Rebuilt Salvage", or "previously salvaged" on the top?

If so, that means it has been wrecked or damaged previously in some way.

Just because it has 9 history reports from the DMV doesn't mean those are accidents....it could just mean that the owner took someone off their title, paid off the loan, sold the car, someone else sold the car to someone else, they added someone onto their title....

It is possible that it means nothing. DMV records happen every time someone changes info on the title. It could be as simple as correcting a name, all the way to totaling a car out as a salvaged vehicle (wrecked).

You would have to see the dmv records to really know.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.
