My driving test is scheduled in two weeks time (Quebec Driving License). But I couldn't find the Drivers's Book (to learn about road signs and other road rules) in any of the bookstores.

If any one have a second hand book, please let me know

I leased a car for my former husband. We were married at the time. He is on the insurance policy as a driver. However, I never changed the address where the car was garaged to where he was living. The lease was up next week. Now, while he was away on business the car was stolen from his driveway. But I have to report the claim because I hold the lease and the insurance policy. Can the insurance company deny my claim since the car was garaged somewhere different than the insurance policy for the last couple of months? We divorced....

I sold my car when I was out of town. On my way back I've lost the plates. In Virginia you have to turn in plates after sale before dropping insurance. What am I suppose to do??

The accident was not my fault. How long should the insurance company allow me to use the rental car to find a nrw vehicle?
Is there a limit(within reason) or can they stop paying for it when I recievepayment for my totaled vehicle?

I am moving to Massachusetts from Montreal with a 2006 VW that is on lease. I have permission to take the car from VW Finance, but I'm curious how the process will work to register the car in Massachusetts, since it's a Canadian Car. Are the emissions guidelines similar to those in the US? Any information would be helpful as the RMV in Mass. didn't really answer my questions.

I was involved in a motor accident where the other person crashed into the back of my car.

We talked and exchanged details and he takes responsibility for the accident. He didnt want to go through insurance companies, so i decided on going to my local dealer where i bought my car( its only 2 months old)

The dealer said it would cost around 1000 pounds to fix, but the other party involved in the accident wouldnt be able to pay it all up front.

What could i do to allow him to pay me in installments but still have a legal say if he did any trickery or deception. Or paid me only half and not the full amount.

Thanks for your help.

Also the repair centre said i could go through a system of theirs, which made the other partys insurance pay out for the repairs of my car. I am more afraid of my insurance going up than anything else.

My boyfriend got knocked off his bike by a car. The driver admitted it was his fault and my boyfriend is now claiming for compensation for both the injuries he incurred and the damage to his bike and clothes. It is quite clear cut as the driver admitted liability so how long do you think we’re looking at before he receives his compensation?

It is time for my AUTO INSURANCE policy renewal, and i have 2 options.

ICICI lombard is quoting me a premium of about Rs 14,000+

TATA-AIG is quoting me a premium of about Rs 11,000+

Obviously TATA-AIG is cheaper. Would any of you share your experiences of doing business with TATA-AIG.....like how good are they at processing claims, any problems you have faced with them, and things on those lines. I really appreciate any advice in this regard....Thanks!

I was wondering how much on average insurance will go up if you have 1 point on your record from a ticket?

I have a clean driving record since 1991. I insured my younger brother's car a few years ago. He was in a couple accidents with alcohol playing the factor. The car title was under my name along with insurance. I want to compare insurance quotes but I honestly do not remember the dates of his accidents (3-4+ years ago?). If I find a cheaper rate, I want to make sure I am not dumped by the new insurance company for false information. How do I access the same information the insurance companies find for actual quotes? Since it was his name associated with the accidents and not mine, is there a unique database for this?

First of all, i had no insurance because my ex was paying it and canceled it wihtout telling me, no my auto company i have been making my payments to have not even said anything and it has been months. I was just about to get insurance when this happened and now i have no car, and it wansn't my fault. So therefore i have to drive to work and back everyday because i have a life! I have a 4 year old son and am barely getting by and my ex hasn';t been helping me with paying the child support like he is suppose to. So needless to say this drunk driver gets away with hitting me and causing me all this debt and pain, it's n ot fair. I wish there was a law that can help me, it really sucks! I wasn't the one drinking and driving!

Today someone cut me off on my street, I turned my car to avoid hitting them, but hit the curb. They kept going, and of course I stopped...I didn't think anything happened except that my hub cap flew off...I was only going 20k if that, yet, the rim smashed and now something called the table bar on the right side.. so, the repairs costs less than my deductable,so obviously I won't claim that, however, if there is more damage they don't see...is any of this covered by insurance..I mean in general, does another car have to be involved in an accident to claim something, say my frame is bent and the car is totaled is this type of thing covered....Thanks for any info anyone can give me :)
