Does it really matter if this was a loan?

This seems fishy to me to pay for something you don't have the Title or ownership for.

I am taking my california driving test in a few days, and the DMV website says that I need proof of financial responsibility. The car that I will be driving is insured under my friends name, but it does not have my name on the insurance. If I bring his proof of insurance for the car does it count as proof of financial responsibility for me? If not, what do I need to do?

I have been told that a tax disk bought after the 15th of the month expires at the end of said month a year later (ie free 15 days of tax) however one bought on the 14th of the month (eg November 14th) would expire on October 31st next year. Anyone know if this is the case or not?

Two weeks ago I was in a car accident. The other car driver received a traffic ticket but I did not. When it came to the Car insurance though her car insurance company did not honor my claim stating that i had to not be at fault for the accident not even by 1% in order to have my claim approved.

The other driver was hit broadside on her passenger side, but my entire front of my car is a wreck. Basically she ran a red light, I had a green light didn't see her when entering the enter section and we collided. The insurance company stated that she had the right away even if she ran the light because, supposedly its my responsibility (even if there is a car in front of me blocking my view of the intersection) as a driver to make sure that the intersection is clear before entering it. She was able to drive home, but my car is totaled $2000 worth of work. She didn't get her claim honored either because she was also found at fault by my insurance company.

Is it worth sueing for

I was with a friend who got in a very minor accident (everyone was fine). No police report was filed, but the other driver made a claim to her insurance company that she had serious medical problems as result of the accident (she had a handicap sticker in her car so we knew she had existing medical issues).

My friend's insurance company denied the claim since a third car was at fault (and they knew from the damage that her "injuries" weren't from the accident). What's the likelihood the insurance company will do anything to that lady for making a false claim? Or can people just claim whatever they want to try to get away with it?

I was in a accident a little more than 2 years ago. I was 18 at the time and I went for an MRI and they diagnosed me with a herniated disc on my L5-S1. I have had constant pain since the date of my accident. I have done physical therapy, chiropractor(I went 3 times a week for over 3 months, and then once a week, and since it wasn't really getting any better so at the chiropractors advice I stopped going),accupuntuncture, spinal rehab, 2 different sets of injections (one into the joint, one into the disc), nothing has helped, I exhausted my 15000 medical. I have low back pain that goes down my right leg and is aggrivated when I sit, stand for 30 mins. I wear a back brace everyday. I havent worked since the accident and have been getting disability checks from my insurance. I have tried many many pain killers just to try to numb pain, and I have issues with sleeping. My lawyer is suing my insurance liability for 400,000. How much of that do you think I would actually be able to get?

I live in a flat and park my car in the shared car park. I noticed the old lady downstairs has hit my car when trying to park next to mine. I have tried to catch her in person to ask her about it and have now resorted to leaving a quick note under her doormat as she hasn't been in. What do I do if she denies it or doesn't contact me about it?

She hit the van 2 years ago going about 15-20 mph. The speed limit was 35 but after applying her brakes she was only going about 15-20 at impact. The lady got out and she was not angry and her milk shake was only on her dress , not the steering wheel or windshield. The roof of the van buckled. She was concerned that my daughter was ok. She was. Her husband said to his wife"maybe we can get a new van out of this". Even though the police did not hear him my daughter did and we know my daughter was at fault. Last Spring she decided to sue . We had to go see an attorney for the ins co and he said this may go to court next year if the ins. co can't settle. Don't know if her neck really got hurt or if she wants some free money. They live in a run down area in the country . Can my daughter lose any money she has saved?

Thanks all.

I was pulling into a gas station parking lot, and the another driver backed into my car. It clearly seems to be that the other driver is at fault, and she admitted negligence. I did not call the police, and did not exchange insurance info. Now, I regret not doing so, because there is damage to both of our cars. I told the other driver that I would get an estimate of the repairs call her. I don't know that she is even willing to cover the cost of the repairs. I have not filed a claim with my insurance company. What should I do now?
