If your steering wheel is jerking, it means that you have a tire that is separating, and you need to get it replaced immediately. Other than that, you may have a broken brake pad that is jamming your rotor. It's hard to tell not seeing it in person.

need more info but it could be brakes, tires needs alignment or the transmission is bad.Now if your talking about the type of jerking that is caused by the engine seeming to slow down and then speed up,it's a mechanical problem with the engine,fuel line,water system etc..............

if your car is jerking u might want to take it and get it servicecd. It sounds like u need to get your car aligned

I'll go along with Amerikan Guy and add the admittedly less likely possibility that a balancing weight came loose. Either way you should get it fixed.

Your clutch is out of adjustment ,the throw out bearing has play
or pressure plate is sliping one of these but I think its your not use to driving a stick?
