Your vehicle must be garaged in the state of FL, not in another state for insurance to be valid. Since you are in a PIP state you can not take this coverage off as it is part of the insurance coverage you have. The good thing to having it is that you are covered if you are a driver of another car and have this coverage on your own car even if your vehicle is stored in a storage facility. You are covered if the vehicle you are driving doesn't have PIP coverage.

PIP may be required by the state regardless. It is probably one of those things where if you have insurance, you must have PIP no matter what. You need to ask your insurance company.
