Call to your 1-800 number to the DMV and ask the representative
regarding this matter. I call them up for the same thing and they
mailed me an application to get a copy of my first one. Or go to
your nearest DMV and go to the starting line and ask their, thats
if you prefer to do it in person.

The identify bureaucracy was once generally constant up whilst you purchased the vehicle. The trader will ship the bureaucracy in to the state and for those who shouldn't have a mortgage at the car you'll acquire the identify inside a couple of weeks. If you may have a mortgage at the car the identify might be held through the mortgage corporation till the mortgage is paid in complete. Once the mortgage is paid, the mortgage corporation will then liberate the identify to you. If you may have a mortgage you'll be required to bring complete insurance policy coverage at the car till the mortgage is paid off. As for the license plates you'll generally have got to pass to the nearby DMV workplace and get them inside surely 30 days. You generally can switch your license plates out of your historic vehicle in your new one so long as your historic vehicle was once now not a pickup truck or whatever rather then a vehicle. Most areas that promote automobiles have it installed whilst you purchase a car that the identify and registration bureaucracy is accomplished through the trader and the trader will ship it all into the state all whilst you signal all of the bureaucracy whilst you acquire the car. I could suspect this was once performed on your trouble as good. Just to be certain and to ease your brain, supply the trader you bought the vehicle from and ask them if this was once what was once performed whilst you bought the vehicle. Good success, and force properly!!

You have to contact the state office in which the title was issued in and fill out a form to request another title due to loss of the original. In some states, you may have to pay a fee for losing it. It is a penalty fee and usually is not too expensive. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Contact your DMV.

You may be able to download a form from the DMV's website, mail that in, and have a new title mailed to you (depending on your state).
