for one of the largest cities in the nation, los angeles has the worst public transportation system. traffic is absurd. there's hundreds of buses, but they have to sit in traffic like the rest of us. the metro system is a joke. they are beginning to build a metro to the west side, but it's about 20 years late. let me know what you think.

im planning on attending a different school next semester. to avoid freeway traffic, i plan on taking a train - which would take about 20 minutes and then ride a bike from the train station which is about 3 miles away from the school. is it worth all that just to avoid traffic? mapquest states that driving a freeway would take about 26 minutes (this is without traffic, of course)

I'll be going to school at Kennesaw State and at GA Tech, however most of my time will be at Kennesaw. My wife wants to live closer to her sister in Athens, so we're trying to find a decent half-way point. I don't mind at all driving further than her (especially if she's bringing home the bacon), but I don't want to be in traffic for hours, either. Lawrenceville, Alpharetta, Duluth, Norcross are places that seem fine.
Just for a little background, I'm originally from L.A., so I am used to horrible mind numbing traffic...
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Just to make things sure
Green=Go
Red=stop
Yellow=slowdown
If yellow equals slow down then why does everybody speed up like this is the last day of their lives. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around. This is a stupid question but I always wondered why people try to disobey the rules of our "great" society.

First, what's the fastest route?

If we high-roll it, say average gas price is $2.50 by March.

I drive a 2001 Chevrolet Impala.

Thanks.

1) Who has the right of way? Car 1 turning right or Car 2 turning left from the opposite direction on a traffic signal with a directional green light on.

2) What would happen if car 2 has yield for left turn when cars from opposite directions have straight green light at the traffic signal. Who has the right of way car 1 as usual is turning right or car2.

I moved down to the hampton roads area of virginia from long island, ny recently. I'm totally shocked at the difference in driving.

I realize new york drivers are stereotypically agressive drivers, myself no exception. However, i've been all around the country (west coast, gulf coast, north east) and nowhere are drivers more frustrating than in virginia.

dont people understand the left lane is for passing? i get so enraged when someone in the left lane is going EXACTLY the same speed as the person in the right lane, namely on 'rt. 64'.

sorry if you're from virginia, i dont mean to insult, i'm just aggravated
