I need to be in Ontario (Los Angeles) by 1pm on a monday. I will be driving from San Diego. What time should I leave, how long will it take me, and what is the best route?

You're on an on-ramp. Behind someone. There's a huge break in traffic and the person in front of you starts - then stops suddenly for no reason.

You're driving behind someone who starts to turn left, then turns the wheel and turns right, never putting a turn signal on.

You're behind someone at a traffic light - the light turns green but the person isn't paying attention - is fumbling with stuff in the front seat, applying makeup, talking on the cellphone or some combination.

90% of the time, in each of these circumstances, it's a woman.

Why is it sexist to admit that?

I have a 9 mile commute and am sick of buying into the whole gas slavery that my car has forced me into. I was thinking about getting a scooter, most likely electric. Any suggestions?

I'm 22 and still don't know how to drive yet. I was gonna go for driver's ed through my college but they postponed the class because not enough people enrolled.

All of my family members are too busy to teach me to drive, so who can I ask to teach me to drive? I don't want to risk my friend's health or life or their car.

Suggestions? I really need to learn to drive if I am going to be living on my own and getting a job. I live in a city where the only way to get around is the taxi and that's it.

Because cars are stuck in jams and continually puff out fumes whilst going nowhere, buses are evil with their black fumes and also get stuck in jams, trains are massively heavy and must use tons of fuel to get going and planes, as we know are the biggest polluters, whilst we bikers nip through the traffic, get to the head of jams and generally only use fuel whilst on the move rather than whilst sat in a jam. Also we can do 0-120mph in about 10 seconds so have much better fun! In fact the only thing hindering a bikers progress are buses who take up 1 1/2 lanes so making it difficult to filter past and traffic lights which make us stop for a good 30 seconds beore we f*ck off before anyone gets into first gear

I take Go Transit and it seems like we are late everyday. I was overjoyed in January when train was only 3 minutes late. Most times it is 7 - 10 minutes late arriving to train station in Toronto. I take the Brampton/Georgetown line. Been taking the train for 20 + years and this seems to be one of the worst years in quite a while.

I have noticed that in Indian traffic signal system colours are arranged in Green/Amber/Red from bottom to top for the roads, while in a railway signal system green is on top and red is at the bottom. Is there any scientific base for this?

Why are the majority of them so vindictive to drive away or not stop at all when they see you almost reach the bus stop with heavy shopping bags and waving frantically?
And they always terminate the bus if someone doesn't pay,but when I got assaulted once, driver chose to ignore the situation, when I begged him to call the cops.
What's wrong with them?

I am getting ready to buy a car I've always wanted: a Saab 9-3 convertible. Anyone out there tried owning one of these beauties while still needing to drive 2 small kids? One is in a booster seat, the other is in a car seat? Is this do-able or am I pushing it? We live near the beach, so it'd be awfully nice-- but I'll do right by my kids, first!

I have seen this many times. As I drive down a highway like SR40 or US441 there will be a black cable from the median all the way to the white line in the slow lane. They are usually attached to a highway or street sign. What are they called and what are they used for? FYI I live in Florida. Thanks
