Because cars are stuck in jams and continually puff out fumes whilst going nowhere, buses are evil with their black fumes and also get stuck in jams, trains are massively heavy and must use tons of fuel to get going and planes, as we know are the biggest polluters, whilst we bikers nip through the traffic, get to the head of jams and generally only use fuel whilst on the move rather than whilst sat in a jam. Also we can do 0-120mph in about 10 seconds so have much better fun! In fact the only thing hindering a bikers progress are buses who take up 1 1/2 lanes so making it difficult to filter past and traffic lights which make us stop for a good 30 seconds beore we f*ck off before anyone gets into first gear

YES YES YES YES Motorcycles/Scooters are the answer to most of this countries travel problems and in fact many countries around the world and a by product of that is less CO2 hence helping global warming.

Seems more like a rant than a question.

Even if you can entice a sizable number of people into riding motorcycles, there are other significant non-vehicular contributors to global warming that would have to be dealt with.

Also, having more people ride motorcycles would create other problems. Motorcycles are inherantly more dangerous and lead to more injuries and deaths than cars due to their design. We already have a healthcare issue in this country, and this would only add to the problem.

Personally, I think that getting more people onto public transportation is a better solution. If you make it low-cost (or free), convenient, and efficient, you'll have an easier time sellig it.

Probably not, since many of your pros would evaporate with the law of diminishing returns. Motorcycles are fast in traffic jams now since there are fewer of them than cars AND are breaking the traffic laws (they aren't supposed to cut ahead and can get tickets for doing so). Should motorcycles overtake cars in population, I think their emission issues would become more prevalent ... out of every 20 motorcycles which pass me, a good half to two-thirds have loud, unmuffled roars, which means their emissions are being poorly controlled. Do they even have a catalytic converter and OBD sensor?

I think public transportation and mandated carpooling are better answers for the issue. I also think 3rd world countries should have their emissions regulated, controlled, and paid for by the economically dominant countries. For instance, the US and EU could adopt countries in Africa in which we would help them decrease emissions, increase their fossil fuel efficiency, and pay for the technology and research associated with reducing emissions. I would also like these economically dominant countries to invest in fossil fuel reduction policies ... such as taxing SUVs and fuel wasting vehicles, surtaxing homes about a basic standard size, and creating rail and bus lines in more areas of their countries.
