Seems as though there must be some kind of air shuttle between the two cities? I'd certainly think that would be the quickest and best way to go - no wear and tear on your car, no gas to buy, and only an hour or so either way once you're in the air. I checked America West, and it looks like it's about $49 each way, booked in advance; I'm not sure you can even drive it for that (gas alone would be something like $35), especially when you take into account the depreciation on your car.

Extend your arm with a thumb in the upright position while standing on the side of the road. Do this on the side where drivers are moving in the direction you would like to travel.

Also, there is a Greyhound in North Las Vegas.
