First, what's the fastest route?

If we high-roll it, say average gas price is $2.50 by March.

I drive a 2001 Chevrolet Impala.

Thanks.

You can check on Google earth or you must find the distance on a map between the two cities. Double the distance for the return back plus add miles driven while there. You must know how many miles per gallon your cars goes (aprox 22) on hwy.then divide 22 into the total distance to get the number of gallons then multiply times the ave cost per gallon.

put the two locations into yahoo maps. It will tell you how many miles the trip is expected to be. Double that mileage. If you do not know the epected gas mileage of the car, go to kbb.com and look up the car. Divide the number of mile you are going to drive by the estimated gas mileage of the car. This will give you the estimate of how many gallons you will use. Then multiply the gallons by how much per gallon you expect.

Which depends on how fast you drive.

Really. Check it out sometime. You save a LOT of gas going slower. My fuel costs dropped 30% when I went 60 instead of 80. That's a lot of money. What's more important to you, time or money?
