Yes, Its a sad thing to have to go through and Deer auto accidents are quite common as the deer populations are quite high in most states. In the country where I live is where I see the most accidents but Freeways are another area to.
I was in my Tow Truck both times I have hit a deer (Which did die) and the tow truck didn't have any damage due to front grill guards and such. People have been killed due to these accidents with cars, Trucks, Motorcycles etc. Its very sad all ways. This is why we have deer hunts every year here. Minnesota.

PS, I have towed so many totaled autos from this and it is very costly to repair the autos. You can keep the deer for meat in most states but you need a special tag from the police dept or DNR.

yes, unfortunately, they seemed to get blinded. Alot of damage but the deer ran off

I once hit a kangaroo. Smashed my whole car to bits.
