Every time I'm at a light I have barely enough space to get it in gear before the jack a s s behind me hits me!!!!!!

I try to leave some space between me and that car in front of me regardless of what type of vehicle it is.

No, you need to learn how to drive a stick, feather the throttle while you are at the light and then you can take off with no rollback when the light changes
PS legally they should give you space, and yes sometimes I roll back a little (but I'm not a 5-speed, I only have 3)

as a person that drives only manual transmission cars you should know how to drive the car without roll back. I think you are the one hitting the car behind you. How much space to you really need

If you need rollback room get a car you know how to drive

you should be driving an automatic if you need rollback room. learn to drive it right and you should be fine

i had that same concern at first. then you get better at stick and dont have to worry about that anymore.
