Absolutely not. Try coming over to Athens in Grecce, then you will see bad roads and in the very centre of the city. I live here and have to drive to work every day. I love coming home and driving on the good roads of London

Not the worst perhaps, but quite bad.
I was driving and empty HGV with trailer a few weeks back, and for well over 120 miles of a 200 mile journey, the vehicle was bouncing in and out of the deep ruts in the road. Even checking the mirrors was quite dangerous, because every so often the vehicle would lurch one way or the other.
Oddly enough, some tractor-units are better than others: possibly due to suspension-deisgn or the compliance of the rubber-bushes, but whatever the reason, it is the roads which cause the problem.
After 100 miles of this, your arms are dropping off and you are mentally exhausted from having to concentrate really hard on keeping the vehicle in just a straight-line.
I cringe to think what alarm a weaving truck causes other road-users, but I see it all the time on the roads today.
So much for "road taxes" and repairs.....another cash-cow for a spendthrift government.

Absolutely not. I am from the US, but have recently moved to the UK. I have travelled all over Europe and North America. I think the roads here are a dream. They are wonderful! Of course, that may vary depending on where you live.

no longer particularly. frequently eastern Europe has been much less wealthy than Western Europe and in recent cases it became in all possibility Western Europe who cleared the path in exploration and so forth (e.g. British Empire) yet you won't be able to overlook that different Europes maximum efficient civilisations have been Southern eu (as an occasion historic Greeks and the Roman Empire) so the African genes won't be able to be 'hurting' them that a lot as you pronounced. And to be effortless, eastern Europe's substantial situation became communism, it relatively is different from they are stupid or something.

The condition of the ROADS in this country are pretty good, on the whole. I'm a courier driver, so I've covered pretty much more roads in this country than normal folk. 15 years experience so far.
However, it is the condition of the DRIVERS today that give me cause for concern! Driving standards by the MAJORITY of drivers in this country are generally dangerous and unsafe.
Don't worry about the roads, the danger is other motorists.

NO,
alike the European Union and the whole world, Britain needs RAIL investments .
Remenber : in the 20th Century, half of the rail network were withdrawn of any service to permit motoring development .
Britons liked to listen Satan's voice ;
Trams were swept from british towns and trains from many countrysides ;
Their reward is global warning !

The sheer amount and weight
of traffic in the uk
takes its toll on our roads
but if you take that into consideration
and think about it
the roads are not as bad as they should be considering.
