The second and third lanes are for overtaking only. There`s no such thing as `fast lanes.` Unfortunately some idiots don`t realise this and `hog` them. There`re a menace and should learn the highway code.

I too find it anoying.
But what is worse is when you are in the thrid lane overtaking another car/Lorry/whatever, and sombody comes flying down the road at 110mph and then sits 2cm from your bumper flashing at you while you are attempting to overtake & sticking to the speed limit (that by the way is 70mph!). Mind once I have overtaken I do pull over.
Mind there are part of the M25 that you just cannot get back into the middle lane as its flowing to slow with two lorries over taking a horse box and the such like!

provided they are overtaking a car in the 2nd lane they are well within their rights to be in the 3rd lane, regardless of whether or not they are travelling at the speed you want them to.
There are people who drive along in the fast lane not overtaking anyone and yes it is extremely annoying. But although they're making a mistake, you're the one that's breaking the law and you're the one that's going to cause an accident with your arrogance, driving up their @rse and undertaking. And when you do cause a pile up, you'll be causing alot more inconvenience to other commuters who are queuing for hours while they scrape your body off the road

First of all - VITAL: NEVER get emotional while driving. It is a one-way ticket to the graveyard.
To answer your question: It happens to me quite alot, and I am just as courteous as you. The thing to remember is that most of the stubborn people who do it think that they are policing the highway by preventing people from driving well above the speed limit. Get around these twits by keeping back from them so as to give them the impression that you are not a boy racer. Also try pulling in to the middle lane so that they don't think you want to overtake any more. Then when they pull in you can zoom past.
There are many people in this world who cannot think for themselves, and have to rely on government advice for how to live their lives. Unfortunately they take it upon themselves to inflict that advice on others who don't need it.

And it'll never stop until they introduce minimum speeds. 60 min in slow lane would stop HGV from going in the middle lane as they need to pass slower vehicles, which forces the slow a-rseholes into the fast lane doing just 65 and scared shitless of the lorries instead of accelerating quickly to get back in.

Some clowns stay at 70mph in this lane deliberately to wind others up. the law should be that when you know someone is behind you wishing to overtake you should pull over. there so many of these fools around,

law is to keep left unless your over taking. These people are almost as annoying as the one that never come out of the middle lane.

Same as the truck drivers who go into the middle lane, to play games with the one they're overtaking. They try to play cat/mouse while cars are waiting to overtake.
