And I've heard they don't have great re-sale value so wouldn't that make them fairly inexpensive to buy one used?

Recently bought an elantra 03 with low miles (43k) and despite the claim that they should get 28-33mpg im getting maybe 19-20 and these are the majority highway miles. Really dissapointed and not sure if this is normal. Took car to dealer (car under warranty still) and mentioned this to which they stated this was normal and my car checks out fine. Also said it might be my driving style...(its not) or the type of gas I put in (been going to the same gas station for years). These all sound like bs answers they are giving me instead of actually looking at what I think is the culprit. The catalytic converter (see other questions) But before I jump to conclusions...wanted to see what other Hyundai elantra 03 owners are getting. Thanks.

I need some major insight on this, cuz the warranty deal sounds to good to be true. 100,000 OR 10YEARS? I am looking to make a purchase on one of these vechiles.

I have a 95 Hyundai Elantra, and it slips really bad, to the point I can't even drive it anymore. The problem is they don't make rebuild kits for Hyudai Elantras, so I have to by each individual part, but can anyone tell me what all I am going to need to get my transmission working right again??

I'm aware that the body of the vehicle is already on the heave side, but surely there is a way to increase its torque and horsepower. Anyone knows how?

Recently bought a 03 Elantra and am thinking there might be an issue with the catalytic converter. As I am the second owner and have been told that the warranty is only good for the first five years and 60k miles (car has 43k) plan on getting them to check it out and fix the issue. Wondering though if Ill get any problems from them.

Hello. I have a 1998 Hyundai Tiburon FX that has an automatic, it has started slipping from 3 into 4 and sometimes will not back up. So I was wondering if anyone had this trouble with such a car and if so, how did you fix it? Like replacing the pulse generator or the control module? Thanks for your time....

I had just bought a new 2007 Hyundai Elantra. I have only had it for 2 weeks and it already requires major mechanical fixes. When I brought up the supposed 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty, the people at the dealerships just laughed in my face. What can I do to warn people not to buy hyundai cars, since they should learn from my experience with this brand?

When driving my 2007 Accent by myself, the dashboard has a light "passenger air bag off". Which airbags are still active in case of an accident? Will the passenger side air bag go off? What about the passenger side curtain air bag?

I need to get a new car, as the car I am currently driving is dying a slow and sad death. We are looking at several models. What is important is good gas milage and safety. It would function as a family car, but we are fine with a small family car. I went to the Hyundai dealer, and became interested in the Accent SE. Anyone able to tell me about them? Are they safe, get good gas milage, and last for years? The other car we are considering is the Honda Fit. Thanks for any info!!
