What's the question? We've got one answer saying buy a Honda and one answer talking about normal engine maintenance. Who wants to chime in and say buy an America V8 and stop supporting Kim Jong IL?
So, go ahead and buy the Santa Fe, they've been very popular since Hyundai introduced them 5 or so years ago.

Your timing belt is due to be replaced at 60,000 miles and your 10 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty requires that it be changed to keep the warranty in effect. You have an "interference" type engine which means your engine will probably be damaged if the timing belt breaks. You also have a timing belt driven water pump.

Better choices: Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester.
