I own Hyundai Elantra 2001, 80,000 miles paid off. Recently, I had to replace the speed sensor ($300). Two days later, the radiator leaks. The transmission oil and coolant oil pooled together, and will cost $800 to fix. There is also possible transmission damage, which would cost $1,600 to fix. Do I buy a new used car, or repair this one?

Do they think the consumer is stupid enough to think they are better than the "name brands" of cars.

I'm thinking of getting one of these, they look great, but i'd like to know more, such as, are Hyundai's reliable? (like VW's/Audis) are they reasonable economical to run? Are they dear to repair compared to other manufacturers? What country is the company originating in (E.g. are they a 'Japanese car' etc). Any help or pointers appreciated. Thanks

My 2003 hyundai sonata is a V6, but lately it is driving more like a 4 cylinder. It just doesn't have the oomph it used to. I mentioned it to the service department when I took it in for service, but they have not done anything to increase its performance. Any suggestions?? Thanks.

Okay..heres the deal. I recently bought a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe with 50000 miles on it. I was offered an extended warranty of 3 year/36000 bumper to bumper and I took it. After looking over the paper work the warranty is going to cost $2400! I can get the contract canceled without charge because it hasn't been 25 days. Should I just take the chance and go without it? The Carfax report was clean. Isn't that a bit much for a warranty? Thank you guys for any advice

To me, I thought it was a really cool Car, which will begin sales in the early spring 2008, and the design was super duper good for the hyundai and this kind of car is you have to see it for real, not by videos or pictures. well the Tau engine has many horsepower and can reach 60mph in less than 6 secs.! well they haven't posted the inside pics. but they say it is good as M-Benz S class!

I'm thinking of buying a 2002 Hyundai Sonata, except the engine already has 102,000 miles on it. I'm tied up for money and the vehicle itself looks nice. I'm just curious to know how many miles these (not sure if it's 4 or 6 cyl on this model) engines usually live up to? Thanks!

I have been looking at a Hyundai Tiburon GS very seriously and may be purchasing one in the next few days. If anyone who owns one of these cars could tell me anything about their experience with these cars, I would greatly appreciate it. Please include how long you have owned the car.

Before you say American cars don't last, keep in mind my previous car was an '88 Cavalier - which my parents bought brand new in 1987 and then handed down to me - lasted me 19 years with 230,000 miles and had no major problems. This is why I'm considering the Cobalt, because I know Chevy puts out quality economical vehicles that can last until about 200K. Fords are out of the question; I've had 2 Ford cars, including a Lincoln, which both died on me before reaching 100K. I think the Hyundai Tiburon is a better looking car, and I'd rather have it, but I have heard bad things about Hyundais and I don't want a car that's going to give me problems around 40K. Honda Civics are cool and I know they last, but they're not as fancy and sporty as the Tiburon and the engine is too small for my liking. So, what would you pick, a Cobalt or a Tiburon?

Does anyone else think that their cars have gotten way better in quality and apperance? I have had no problems with my last one (Accent) and the new one (Elantra) is awesome. Are they improving or did i just get lucky not having break downs?
