Car Makes - March 2007

OK so i have been looking into cam shafts and i must say i am really lost. I have heard aggresive idle, smooth idle, moderate idle, high rpm power, and just other things that make picking one really hard. First time i have ever messed with a cam so any suggestions or at least info would help. Engine is a 302, carb is a 4 barrle 650 Holley. Not too sure about the intake although i know its a edle brock.

About three months and 4500 miles ago I took my 1997 BMW 528I to a BMW dealer to be looked at for alternator problems. I also mentioned that the car was running hot, and they in turn also agreed and said that it was because the thermostat wasn't opening. They replaced the thermostat, housing, fan shroud, bleeder screw and replaced with "renewed coolant" for $450. I don't know if it makes a difference but, the car's 4500 miles during the interim have been freeway miles, and no city driving was done. The other day, I was using the car in the city with a lot of stop and go traffic when I noticed the car's temperature rising, I pulled over, waited for 20 minutes, and drove it straight home (approximately 1.3 miles). I towed it to a BMW mechanic and had the radiator replaced since it wasn't holding and pressure. After doing so, the mechanic discovered white smoke out the exhaust. I already knew what that meant. Should I be upset with the dealer having only looked at it 3 months ago?

my radiator blew up on me this last sat. i purchased a radiator and will recieve it tommorow. i do not have a owners manual, and it will take to long to order one. I was hoping someone would know a web site that might actually have installation instructions. Hi. I'm a BMW fan, so I don't know a lot about american cars and engines in general. But I find it funny that the m3 with the 3.2 Liter engine, beats the mighty Corvette c5 (exception Zo6) with a 5.7 liter engine. Thats weird if you ask me. 0-60 times are faster in a m3 and also top speed without the limiter. And the corvette has more HP, 345 vs. 333hp for the m3. The weight shouldn't really be an issue on this one, because the m3 isn't lightweight at all. Even at fuel economy and handling the m3 is superior, based on my research. Not to mention the interior. The m3 is amazing when it comes to the interior. I got a chance to drive one, and Its my favorite car.
I wanna see what some corvette fans have to say about this. Thanks

Hey all, I have a 79' camaro and a frustrating problem. I just recently pulled out my car for the summer and it was starting and running just fine. Now all the sudden the car will turn but wont start. I checked the plugs and they dont seem to be sparking. I threw in a new plug and a new ignition coil but still no spark. The car will turn but just wont start, any ideas????? Mind you I was driving it two days ago and it started up just fine, now nothing? I dont know If it has anything to do with the amount of water perspiration from the weather changes on the engine or not. It's been garaged but the garage temp is around 40 degrees and outside temp is like 70, hence, lots of sweat on the engine..............please help!!!!!!!!!!

my dad bought a 2005 chrysler 300 touring edition.(in the year 2005) it has 20 inch rims on it (chrome!) and chrome on the windows and chrome on the sides! we wanted to trade it in for a 2007 honda ridgeline and they would only give us 18,000 for it! thats like a compact car! why isn't it worth anything! it has a 263 engine and its a luxury car! or is the hemi the edition thats worth the money! and ill tell you that ridleine was nice! what can my dad trade it in for like a pickup instead of a compact car? it has 34,000 miles on it.
