My digital speedo went out on my '95 caprice classic. Can I install a regular needle cluster from the same style car or does it have to be the same one?

Yes, you can install a needle cluster. But, it has to be from a Trans Am Z28. This is what it looks like: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/garyclark0907@sbcglobal.net/album/576460762328655835 This guy sells them ready to install: gmparts@nycap.rr.com

Go to your nearest junkyard and have them check out your question. They have manuals and or software that will tell you all what vehicles and years that will fit.More than likely other GM's like the Pontiac Parisenne will have the same part.Get one at the junkyard as it will be much cheaper than the dealership. It is a Dealer Only kind of part.It cannot be purchased thru an Auto Store.

I have a 1994 Chevy Impala SS and mine went out too...they told me (more than 1 place) that it has to come from another '94 Impala SS or a '94 Caprice.....
