I know there are some manuals in the library that might give some rough idea how to do it.

If I go to a electronic shop they would charge me 100 $. My stereo costs 250$ . Does it worth to go and ask professionals? Is it dangerous to do it myself? Do you know any websites that can help me how to install that stuff?

What actually might go wrong ?

thanks

I am looking for an amp to go with my 10" Type E sub, I would like to keep the price down a bit, I would like to get it on ebay. Also, from what im reading, I should get a mono amp. I was wondering if say a 2 channel amp would work just as good or if I need to stay with a mono amp. Thanks

I have two kicker compvr 10" subs, each with dual 2 ohm voice coils. Does this mean that when wired in parallel each sub is using 4 ohms?

I have a 1995 Firebird , that seems to have been installed with the 'premium' factory stereo system. I installed a new headunit and seems to be working perfectly but there is no sound. I read that this is caused by the factory amp. So I need to know of any possible way to make the speakers work with out having to buy the special bypass harness. Is it plausible to run a whole new set of cables to the speakers ignoring the factory amp , i dont want to use it , i just want the four speakers in the car to connect to my head unit. Please help ,thank you !

Is it possible to use the factory controls from my steering wheel and wire them to an aftermarket cd player? I don't want to have them sit there and find them beneficial when I'm driving. Was wondering if there's a way or something to buy to convert.

When I scroll through the sources it goes through Tuner, CD, and standby but I used to have another option, Aux input, which was directly connected by a stereo mini cable. Now the option does not come up. Can someone help by explaining how this happened or how I can fix it?

I just bought a new Saturn Vue last night and I'm a little dissappointed in the sound quality. I have the upgraded radio with a 6 disc changer, XM radio, and MP3 audio jack. Everything works great and it's really convenient. However, the speakers don't have the clarity I was hoping for. The highs and lows aren't as crisp as I thought they would be. Would putting in after-market speakers help with the overall sound quality? I don't want to change anything with the head unit. I like the way it looks and functions. Any suggestions?

I installed the stereo myself 3 months ago and it worked fine until yesterday. I'm no mechanic by any means but it was a pretty easy install and the wiring all seems to be correct. The display stays on when the car is turned off, all other lights are off, doors locked, etc.

Also, while, the display stays on, the stereo itself does not... I can't turn it on and play music or anything while the car is off.

I literally have to unhook it from the battery every night to turn it off. Any thoughts?

I purchased a set of 6 3/4" Alpine speakers (4 ohm)for my front doors. Low and behold the tweeters weren't providing enough "tweet" to satisfy. So I purchased a set of Alpine Tweeters (also 4 ohm) to add the front channels. It seems there is noway to just wire it anyway because either scheme would end up in an 8 or 2 ohm load. Please help!!!

Thank you in advance!!

I have had my 96' honda accord lx since it was brand new. everything is stock. lately, my speakers have been cutting out randomly. i took apart my entire center console, and made sure that everything was connected. the sound is still going on for ten minutes and off for ten minutes and i cannot figure out why. whats my next step?? the main terminal in the back of the radio is connected, and the antenna is connected. there is another terminal that looks sort of like a midi input it says "CH G" above it. There is nothing plugged into here and there is no visable wire to plug into it. On the radio's display it shows full signal radio and the little "st" above it, so the head unit appears to be working. What should i do next??? i just spent the past 2 hours disassembling my entire center console, i would like to fix something before beginning to reassemble the car.

help!?!?
