I don't think anyone who's answered knows what you're talking about except me, and I'm just guessing. :-)
However, occasionally in a Ford radio with the holes for standard DIN removal tools, you'll find a tamper-proof security screw. It gets installed into one of the holes so you can't use the removal tools until you remove the screw. I've only seen this once or twice. If what you're seeing looks like the top of this: http://www.hudsonfasteners.com/sec/sec_images/sec_sp_phms.jpg then you've got a "spanner" security screw in the hole. To remove it, you need the right size of spanner bit. If you purchase a tamper-proof bit set like this one http://www.widgetsupply.com/screwdrivers/tamper-proof/hsdtx-OD01.jpg the bit you need should be included. Once the security screws are removed, you can use the Ford radio removal tools that everyone else thinks you're looking for in the first place.

You're close on this one with the removal tools, but not for this production year. You can get a whole lot of help just by stopping at the Service Counter at your Ford dealer!Give them your VIN and what you want to do,they will print up a detailed diagram and tell you what tool is needed, probably a TORX bit on this one.
If you are keeping this car for a while invest in a CHILTON or a CLYMER service manual available from just about any aftermarket auto parts store. This is the first thing I buy for a car after I fill the tank.My Honda Accord lives because I bought one of these books!!!!
Good luck,by the way, don't cut the wiring harness, buy the adapter pigtail from Circuit City!

Here...lemme in a second. See that part right there? No...the other one. Take your screwdriver and take that screw out, then take the other one out right next to it. Dang, it sure is cramped in here. Ok, now get your wire snips. Cut that wire there, and the other one just like it. No, that's the wrong one. Ok, move a sec so I can see what you did. No, connect those back up. Get the wire caps. There. Hand me that other blue handled set of pliers. No, the other ones.
Ah! There you go! No problem.

Go into a Best Buy and ask for the ford factory radio keys. They cost about 10 bucks. I believe they're labeled as "OEM tools".

Take it to Best Buy or some Audio place. They'll have a special two-pronged tool that gets it out.
Trust me, you WILL NOT get it out if you try another way.

The quickest way is with a crow bar and a hammer! Oh, hope you didn't want to ever use it again?
