Is it possible to use the factory controls from my steering wheel and wire them to an aftermarket cd player? I don't want to have them sit there and find them beneficial when I'm driving. Was wondering if there's a way or something to buy to convert.

Yes, you can make use of the steering wheel controls in most vehicles. Here's a link to steering wheel adapters on Crutchfield:

Here's a link to a manufacturers web-site, if you have installation or application questions:

speaker controls normally dont operate aftermarket cd players but some converters are available for some models, alternatively buy a cd player with addittional remote control to use on your steering wheel

yes PAC and Perefrial make good adaptors for that. they make some that are direct plug in if your stereo accepts it or they make one that is universal and uses an ir repeator like your remote uses to controll the stereo. but you will need a remote thats for your stereo to program it. they are niot very simple to install so i would reccomend having a stereo shop install it.
