It's a 2001 Ford Windstar. The rear speakers seem to turn off and on when I hit a bump and sometimes don't even turn back on(as in no sound coming out). It started with just the rear left, but the right one just started going out as well. I was thinking it might just be a loose connection, but then, would it be in the door? Or in the back of the stereo it's self? If anyone has any information on this, please let me know.

I have an 2001 F-150 with a single in-dash CD player. My dad swapped his 6 CD in-dash changer out of his 2006 F-250 for a nav system and they gave him the changer back. He asked if I wanted it. Can I swap them out. It looks like it should fit, but will it fit and how do I get the fascia off around the radio and A/C controls?

Can you use a line out convertor on a set of speaker wires and still use it to power your speaker?

So the wire's will be spliced and then one end goes into the speaker and the other end would be into the loc.

Would the speaker lose power? How should i do this?

I bought two new 6x9's that sound pretty good when I set the fade more towards the back of the car. The problem is when I get a new sub in the back, setting the fade will drown out the front speakers. Without using an amp on the 6x9's how could I balance it so more power goes to the 6x9's but at the same time does not increase the volume on the sub?

Hope that makes sense.

The stereo was stolen from my Daewoo Matiz yesterday. I bought a new one today and had problems connecting it. I went along to Halford and the fitter there had to join the yellow and red wires together to get any power to the stereo. After driving home and switching off the engine, I've noticed that the stereo loses it's memory i.e. the clock loses the time and station presets aren't saved. In addition to this i've now noticed that the interior light is no longer working. The stereo is a Sony CDXGT111 CD Tuner.

Any suggestions ???

hi i have a 98 mitsubishi eclipse. I'm trying to install an aftermarket radio in it. I got the old radio out etc. I bought a kit. I bought a harness for it. Then when i plug in the antenna into the radio , I saw that there is a similar wire like it but smaller than the antenna wire. I was wondering what it was and where it goes to. I heard it was the power and its true because no power goes the the radio when i connect everything but that wire. So, i was wondering where do i plug that wire in or do i need an adapter or something , and how?... If i do can i have a link or web or instructions.. Thanks

I'm trying to buy some after market speakers. I just want to get the right size. Does anyone know what size are the speakers in this typical vehicle? This Tercel is a coupe, so there's only two speakers in this car... pretty sad... but hey... beats having nothing.

Sony CDX-GT510 Problem
Reply Quote
I just bought a Sony CDX-GT510 at Circuit City and had them install it in my 2003 Ford Focus. It was working fine but I noticed that when I shut off the car and turned it back on that it was not saving my radio presets or the clock settings. I took it in to them and they fixed it but now I notice when I hit a bump in the road or press the head unit it will just completely power off and then a few mins later it will power back on again. What could be the problem? How can I fix this? Is it just a loose wire?
