I have a 2006 pioneer cd player in my car. I want to hook my ipod into it but my friend told me that I need a box to do it. I don't want to use those fm tranmitter ones. I need one that will connect into my cd player where I can actually change songs with it.

What model of Pioneer CD player do you have?

If the unit has a "P" in the model number; for example: DEH-P3800, then you can use this adapter:

there is a thing you can get at best buy, it will connect to the back of your stereo like you would a cd changer, i dont think you can control the ipod with it but you can listen to it with out an fm modulator
