you only need to get new cables if you are gonna run more amps off ur head unit.. if not then ur all set

If you have a 4-channel amp or two amps running the mids and the subs, and you'd like to be able to start adjusting the subwoofer volume independently, then you'll probably need a second set of RCA cables to run from the head unit to the amp. A lot depends on how original system was installed; if there are splitters behind the old deck, then you may already have the extra cables.

If you were happy with the way the system worked with the JVC deck, and you don't care about adjusting your subwoofer volume through the head unit, then you can just connect it the same way the old one was and ignore the extra outputs.

If you are running the subs from the old JVC you don't need anything else. If you are trying to add another amplifier you will need additional RCA wires for the amp. If not you should be A-OK.
