one with a 3 amp fuse in it. What do I do with the 3 amp fuse wire. The 15 amp will be connected to the battery. The directions say connect both to the battery. Should I connect both together?

If the directions call for both to be connected to the battery, then yes, connect both together.

For the other answerers: some head unit manufacturers use two separate constant power inputs; one for main amplifier power an the other for "memory" functions. Generally both are yellow wires, and both are constant power connections. The red accessory power wire is separate.

15A hooks to power that is only on when the ignition key is on or in the accessory position. The 3 amp hooks to something that has power all the time.

one if for main power the other is auxillary power, twist them both together and youll have a cd player that wont shut off.
