I have one 12" kicker l7 running off of a memphis prd1000.1 and a panasonic cd player with the sub output 5v(if it matters?). but I was wondering if I got a crossover for my system if it would make it hit harder and sound better. and if so what brand should I go with?

I hooked up my stereo equipment in my new car I bought and the bass coming from the subs seems very weak. The amp and subs are the same one I had in my previous car. All the wires are new, I don't know if one of them are bad, or if I have a bad ground or something. Could it be the RCA cables? Their brand new though.

Im trying to wire a four channel amp to four car speakers... my main question is, is it possible to connect the speaker wires to the head unit harness instead of having to go to each speaker?

I'm thinking of getting the stereo on the link below to put in my husband's 1990 Honda Civic. Now, I can install a card in a computer, change a spark plug, and fix basic household items. Do you think I should try to install this stereo, or will I need to hire someone?

I have a JBL GTO 601.1II amp that runs at 424 Watts RMS x 1 channel at 4 ohms. With it I have a P1222 (400W RMS, 1200W Peak). I was on the highway and my lights started going crazy, I stalled and couldn't get my car to start. I had it checked a the Ford service center (I have a Ford Escape 2005, XLS) and they said my alternator was busted. I paid $600 for a new one. Is it because of my car audio system? How do I prevent this from happening again? Do I need an external battery for my sound system alone? and lastly, how do I set it up?

my car has something on the steering wheel that lets me change radio stations directly on it so i don't have to reach over to the radio while i'm driving... i can also change from FM1 to FM2 to AM to CD Player on the steering wheel... if i get a digital radio, will i still be able to do that stuff on my wheel, or will i have to reach over while driving?

ALSO: if you want the best answer, DON'T ASK FOR IT, and PROVIDE A SOURCE... it'll up your chances tremendously

And yes, the volume is up.

The deck accepts the CD when I insert it, loads it up and plays it as normal (i.e. the track duration begins ticking by; i can change tracks, volume, etc.) but no audio is heard.

I'm speculating that it's a loose wiring connection in the back of the deck.

Can anyone offer any suggestions on what the problem probably is and what course of action to take or if not direct me to a site that might help?

Thanks

I have searched and searched Google for this with no luck. I just pulled an old KOSS radio from my 1990 civic. It had a total of four wires connected to it. Red (power) Black (ground) Grey (right speaker) and Green (left speaker). The car only has two front speakers. Here's the problem. My "new" (purchased used) JVC KS-R150 has a few more wires. I found the red, black and grey no problem. But there is no green. Instead I have white, brown, blue, and yellow and a second black. I cannot figure out what to connect and the sticker that shows what each wire is for has been removed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ive got a JVC CD/MP3 stereo that I pulled out of my car after I totaled it. My VanHalen cd is stuck inside, and I want it out. I currently have emulated a power supply of 12v (regulated through an AC adapter), ground, and a toggle switch to take place of the accessory from the ignition.

My issue is, the power supply(s) that I am using are only pushing 15.7v. The unit itself is lighting up, yet there is still not enough electricity to completly power up and use the device.

I have a factory ford CD player in my 2005 Ford Crown Vic. I used wire taps to connect the unit to an external amp for subwoofers and the remote wire to the external amp. A couple of days after I did this, the CD player stopped working. When I push the volume knob, the time comes on briefly before going off and the disc inside the player ejects and loads with no problem, the stereo tuner and CD player just doesn't function. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what the problem could be.
