Many CD players, aside from those found on computers, cannot reliably read CD-RW media. Use CD-R only when making audio cd's for regular cd players.

The songs could be written in the wrong format and the cd player doesn't recognize that code. I think it has to be wma format? I'm not that sure if that is correct or not. I don't mess with the stereos. I do know that they play on my Mustang and my Sable and my truck.

It is b/c of the file type that is on the cd.

it's because the laser in the car is set to only read original Cd's
