I disconnected the battery, bought the wiring harness, connected the wires, and tried to install a new stereo but it still won't work. I think it is something to do with the door. Any one have any idea why my radio won't work. At first I thought it was my radio but I got another one and it does the same thing. Its not the fuse I already checked that. My factory radio works but not my new radio. Need Help Thanks.

bought a pyle amp off ebay, they claim its 4000 true rms, hooked it up doesnt even sound like 100 watts.what am i doing wrong? it is 4ohms. please help. model number is PLA 2840.

sub is hooked up to a MA audio hdk4000d mono amp at 2 ohm stable. but doesnt sound loud enough , amp is running at 14.9 volts, sub is 2 ohm dual voice coil. Please help.

I have a mono alpine MRP-M450 350W RMS amp (V-series). i am trying to find out what would be the best wattage 12" sub i could get for it. I am on a limited budget and would like to get the best sub i can for as little as possible.

i dont get how the differnt boxes work becuase today i was riding down the street and i blocked off the port on my box and it reduced the bass greatly...WHY??? Also what is the differnce between bandpass and ported enclosures when thier both ported?

My boyfriend recently got a new car and transferred his after-market mp3 deck into it. Since the transfer, the radio signal isn't very strong. He took it to his audio-install guy, and they said it's because of the antenna. Is this true? Or did they just do a crappy install?

i recently installed a jensen vm9510 in dash dvd player in my truck, i am running a 1000 watt amp and 2 15's sony xplod, everytime i turn up the volume it dims the screen everytime the bass kicks, how can i avoid this? also you can hear more bass that voices, i am running stock speakers is there any way i could fix this as this wasnt happening when i had my previous cd player which was a sony xplod chameleon.

alright. i have a sony cdx-s1000 , i found the instruction booklet for it online, but i cannot find anything about the preouts for it in the booklet. The subwoofers comming offf of the pre amp outs are powered by a kenwood amp. everything is set fine, but no sound is comming out the subs. Is there some way to turn on the preouts on this or do they always have a fed comming off of them? if there is always a signal coming out and no way to turn it on, then i think it could be the amp. i checked everything with a volt meter. would a bad amp not have any sound at all coming out of it? how would i personaly repair this amp if it is broken? Thank you for helping.

I am interested in getting my SUV outfitted with both satellite radio (XM or Sirius? You tell me) and something that is hard-wired to my vehicle's stereo system so that I can easily plug my iPod in and listen without having to look for an "empty" radio station every time I turn the car on. Currently, the vehicle's standard stereo system is good, but my Griffin RoadTrip does not work well when it comes to transmitting from the iPod to the stereo system. I'd love a great satellite radio and something that is not as cumbersome as the RoadTrip--and something that works (CD quality sound is my goal here). Also, where is the best place to have one installed so that my dashboard isn't full of electronic clutter.

I Bought a Panasonic CQ-C1300 MP3 player. everytime i switch the car on i manually have to turn stereo on and the CD ejects and the stations dont save. i bought it with the lead to connect to car and he said he didnt have a problem with it. where would the problem be and how can i solve this.

the wiring harness im using connects to the factory wiring. the cd player i am installing (pioneer deh-7700), says to ground the wire to the chassis. do i really need to ground the wire to metal if i am using the factory connections?
